AdBlock got bought by an unknown buyer. This unknown buyer turned on "acceptable ads", which basically means you will see a lot of ads, even with AdBlock. Nobody knows who the buyer is or what he will or already has changed.

I highly suggest you to deinstall AdBlock immediately and change to an alternative, e.g. uBlock Origin:
Firefox:
https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/
Chrome:

There is an option that disables acceptable ads thing. You dont need to uninstall adblock

The only thing ublock lacks is different custom filter lists.

You may use AdBlockPlus :)
This is not the same, is it?
No, they are different companies. uBlock was just an example. :)

Still, you don't know what this "unknown buyer" will do with the add-on. Maybe a silent update and AdBlock starts spying on you? This has happened before with Browser Add-Ons being bought.

The only thing ublock lacks is different custom filter lists.
chrome://ublock0/content/dashboard.html
This should be the URL where you can edit your filters. You can select from a big variety of lists and even add your own custom filters.

I know :). I was talking about creating yourself custom filters (that you can do) and putting them in lists (there's only one list for all your custom filters)

That is correct. It's a little unhandy but maybe they will add this. :)
