Found that entry on ITHare about hashing password security on your database. I know it's something obvious for some people but I have seen thousands (not even kidding here) of websites that stores plain-text passwords on their databases. Give it a read even if you know what the topic is about, it's good reading.

Most of the times I see dumps they are plan text or unsalted.
