I think posting this is useless.
  1. This is a mirror of PuTTY served behind HTTPS with a Web Application Firewall (pretty safe).
  2. It's a pretty damn fast download.
It's useless, eh? PuTTY is a useful tool. Speed and security are important too.

can you stop farming threads?
Tells someone content posted is useless with no explanation, complains about farming when asked to clarify.

Ever heard of the term mirror (not the kind you look into your own eyes in)? If that PuTTY site went down you would probably go to CNET which really sucks nowadays.

When you become uncomfortable downloading installers or executable content from tens of questionably trusted sources, then chime in. I am working enterprise security and realize the importance of trusted sources.

I keep forgetting the majority of our forum users probably don't even know what MD5/SHA-1/SHA256 checksum means. kms --- for those that do  buy yourself a drink and Internet high five from me. Keep in mind this is not an offensive comment toward our community, we just simply do not comprise of a purely developer nor security user base. This is just fine and to be expected, not everyone on the Internet can be a crazy security guy/gal.

That's fine but if someone decides to host a secure and fast mirror they should not be informed that is useless. Should there only be one location to download any certain file?

Yeah but like, he has been posting a lot of stuff lately, I thought he was one of those kids that try hard and post usually "useless" stuff around just to farm Messages, that's all.

That guy is also packaging 32 bit and 64 bit TS3 client packages for Debian and Ubuntu to host a secure TeamSpeak 3 repository that is maintained (updated) so users may simply type "apt-get install teamspeak" same for the server. "apt-get install teamspeak-server".

What are you doing today? :p
