Not sure why you're comparing our list of BB Codes to some random community --- https://xenforo.com/community/help/bb-codes this is the correct list to compare with (not a bunch of plugins with added BB Codes). Therefore it wouldn't be reintroducing, but adding a bunch of nonsense plugins or modifying code to allow for additional BB Code support. It sounds alright, but I do not see that much of a use aside for maybe when talking about SQL/data structure, which is not an extremely hot topic.
