TeamSpeak blocking NPL license

Hi, i run a community by 2015, since 2017 we have a NPL license, a couple days ago i saw my server was shutdown, so i rebooted it, after 2 minutes it shutdown again.

So, i opened the server logs and i saw this:

my license it's still valid! I had to remove licensekey.dat and run the server with nolicense and i lost users

Yeah, you can thank the new TeamSpeak CEO by the name of Simon Galbierz. TeamSpeak only wants money now, their software sucks - switch out!

I used to love TeamSpeak with all my heart, not anymore.

Did you used the license for Teaspeak? If you used it for Teaspeak, you have your reason

Switch over to Discord by simply clicking here.

TeamSpeak is going to go bankrupt (they recently switched from a GmBh to an Inc.) which means they are probably not doing well at all. Who knows, maybe they already privately filed for bankruptcy in Germany and this is why they no longer are using TeamSpeak Systems GmBh and now TeamSpeak Systems Inc. haha?!

Basically the car looks kind of cool but when you press the gas pedal, nothing happens. TeamSpeak lacks: video calling, affordable pricing, web client, and so much more! They cannot compete and even if they do, everyone has already been leaving their platform so quickly!!

I have already looked at that. They used to have 2 CEOs and now they only have one. He is different than the past 2 CEOs. This could go two ways:
  • Terribly wrong and TeamSpeak crashes and burns at TeamSpeak 5 which is most likely
  • Simon pulls off the most disadvantaged mission in the world and resurrects the TeamSpeak platform - and brings back all people that left to Discord and other systems. Why would anyone switch back when we know the pricing is FUCKING RETARDED?!
They are asking for so much money because otherwise they cannot survive. It is the end, accept this!

They also cut out the ATHPs to make more money from direct sales. They have fucked over the hosting providers of TeamSpeak. Now they are fucking over the users. And lastly, they are going to fuck themselves rather hard?

I didn't used for teaspeak, and i dont want to switch discord, i want to host myself the server. If i switch to discord(who is too heavy for my pc) i would lost my community cause for ts3 i have to host a server and maintain It, on discord anyone could create it's own server for free and without server hardware, so my users Will think "why i have to stay on HelloEvery server without Admin permissions and with people i don't know if i can create my own discord server for free?" (As i gift permanent rooms etc.. )

And yes they look different because I have no idea what James Ko it is!? He is in California though.

The one thing about TeamSpeak is they are such a fucking private company - you have no idea what they are doing at any time. Did you ever notice this? They say TeamSpeak 5 is coming - okay what is it coming with? Do we have TeamSpeak 5 helicopter mode, self-driving car mode, what THE FUCK is TeamSpeak 5 going to do? No one knows. TeamSpeak never tells you what is going to happen - they just do whatever the fuck they want and pretend all their users are happy even when there are feature requests COMPLETELY ignored by everyone for many years.

So this summarizes to you all why TeamSpeak is fucked and they will not get better. Especially not with these 3 CEOs in the recent history. There is one other CEO but I forgot his name and do not feel like constantly searching around for him. I think the other CEO was either Neils (or Niels) or somethin' Wolfgang. If I think of the 4th CEO, I will update this post.

Update:
Ian Bamford was a CEO of TeamSpeak Systems Inc. then there was James Jayaw Ko (probably one of the James' pictured above), no idea who Florencio Espinoza is but has some involvement with TeamSpeak Systems Inc. - as mentioned earlier with TeamSpeak being such a private company I have no way to find much information on them easily. But what I can see is they have definitely had too many CEOs and are caring too much about money recently.

i solved by having gifted a 64 slot server by a friend who have teaspeak installation and He guaranted the installation is not relevable and secure by the way ip2location days ago market my server IP as French, so i preferred to transfer the server so i dont have to Pay anymore the server

Hopefully you don’t have to find that out yourself because we’ve already told you.. just switch to Discord or something else ;)

Keep in mind running proprietary code from an unlicensed business or any illegally cracked software such as in this case carries higher risk than most should be willing to take. Do you type passwords on your system? If yes, consider buying a basic security book.

P.S. if you were gifted a box of venomous snakes and the note on top said "used for cuddling, happy birthday" would you also sleep with the snakes? :cool:

Initially he said he have a lecit license, after he explained me the trick, but i'm not interested anymore to run a community if i have to pay for a license, when i didn't ask money to my users

There is TeamSpeak, then there is... :p

Quit all of that GarbageSpeak - like we are all saying just switch either to Discord or Mumble.

I am positive about the Inc. change because this started happening around the time when they started posting all sorts of annoying Twitter posts - exactly mimicking Discord in their social media engagement strategy.

There is a new CEO, this we can all be positive of. Don't believe me? Send an email to [email protected] and see what happens. It will tell you to contact the new CEO.

Keep in mind if you go to https://teamspeak.com and look at the bottom left, you will now find Inc. instead of GmBh which means they are pushing the Inc. name more and the GmBh less! This could be due to them trying to spread the company over to the United States. Please realize that with TeamSpeak being such a private company, they could have monetary investors (people with the money that paid TeamSpeak a lot) and if TeamSpeak is not profitable enough, they can and will do crazy stuff to pay their investors back or to just make more money for themselves.

Without a doubt, servers will now cost everyone wanting a 500+ slot server over $300 yearly. This licensing fee is stupid!

While we do not know if their GmBh is struggling or not, we know the Inc. name is being advertised and pushed more than has been in the past.
