In every update they make the create also a "file" that says where is the ip stored! In that way they know that. Your ip won't be shown only if it is hidden from your ISP.

They are using a GeoIP database id guess... Maybe also a weblookup to one.. but i think they are storing it somewhere local.. dont have time to check that now. Sleep well community.

The db is embedded in the server executable.
