I really think the economy is messing up guys, cPanel just increased pricing by ~800%. In some cases, individuals are even reporting 20X their pricing!

Germany: "Two years ago, the German retail trade association HDE warned that some 50,000 stores would likely close by the end of 2020 as a result of changing shopping habits."

USA: Coresight estimates closures could reach 12,000 by the end of the year, the report said.

Overall, there are retailers struggling with what is known as the 'retail apocalypse'.

"Retailers closed a record-breaking 102 million square feet of store space in 2017, then smashed that record in 2018 by closing another 155 million square feet of space, according to estimates by the commercial real estate firm CoStar Group."

Okay, back to cPanel now but as you can tell the global economy is looking certainly grim.

So.. cPanel pricing has definitely shot through the roof, to ultimately such an insanely high priced (think what TeamSpeak is doing).

Fairly sure the global economy is getting bent in half guys, just be very cautious in regards to the global market because companies all over the place are increasing prices, while people are not necessarily making more. It is getting to the point again (this has been the case in the past) where software to run businesses is getting far out of reach to smaller and even medium-sized entrepreneurs. The pricing structure of cPanel is illogical, this is the same for TeamSpeak ATHPs. Companies are doing everything they can to pay off their backers, feed the CEOs (owners) salary..

We are dealing with trade wars, Facebook is working to setup their own cryptocurrency ( https://www.coindesk.com/zengo-introduces-non-custodial-keyless-competitor-to-calibra-wallet ), and ...... if you know much about the USA, you know in the last years several big name companies have been closing their doors due to financial mishaps all around, https://moneywise.com/a/retailers-closing-stores-in-2019
..

Ultimately, we are dealing with global financial chaos. Companies soaring (thriving) are entirely backed by financial investors that are "tech crazy" for the newest trendy social platform e.g. Discord is a chance at being the Facebook of VoIP. Sounds fairly nice to an investor, eh?

At the end of the day, Discord owes all of that back to their backers and they may even have to listen to their backers (investors). If their backers suddenly start setting demands, we could see ads, subscription models, and other such behavior. No one really knows, but I know one thing.

You will be wanting to switch your Linux servers running cPanel to running DirectAdmin https://www.directadmin.com/ or ISPmanager https://www.ispsystem.com/software/ispmanager - stay afloat in this chaotic market! ;)
