I downloaded it for the first time, I have all the requirements, but when I open the page, it says:

This page isn’t working 185.91.116.132 is currently unable to handle this request.
HTTP ERROR 500

This also happened to me with other banner, anyway how to fix it?

Okey i think have problem on cache handler.

I like the idea but isn't it extremely insecure to have the config.php in a public folder? I mean it contains the server query credentials.

Normally not. Cause your webserver interpret the PHP-file and will not publish the strings, if you do not echo them.
Only in case of a very bad configured webserver it could happen, it will handle the config.php as a TXT-file and show you it as plaintext on the site. But that wouldn't be a problem of the script rather the problem would be the server admin ;-)

When it's not on fullscreen the text cannot be read. It's small.
